Even with the most interesting and thought-provoking content, if the right audience can’t find it, the effort amounts to nothing.
Whether you’re in the pre-planning, development or finishing up stage, you should start thinking about the best strategy to optimize and distribute the content to your audience. The idea of content creation is so that it can be seen, read, heard and shared. Or in other words, digested. Developing and following a content marketing strategy can potentially reduce failed campaigns. In the long run, you can use the data collected from campaigns to justify for higher content marketing budget. The higher your content marketing budget, the more flexible you are with investing in higher quality content.
Understand your target audience. To be specific, identify your buyer persona and do thorough research on this before anything. A lot of times, consumers are more likely to buy with a brand they can identify with.

Keyword research. Understand the main audience you are targeting with your content, the next thing is to make sure you get them what they search for when they need your product or service. That is, provide them with a list of basic keywords that surround your brand and other variations.
Identify effective content. Here, you have to ask yourself what kind of content your audience will respond to. What exactly are they looking for? Do they prefer how-to guides, blog posts or videos?
Be consistent. The key to determining the effectiveness of your content strategy is to stay consistent. Develop a content schedule and follow it through.
Analyze your results on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. That is, do not leave your content without tracking the results, and this can be done with monitoring views, click rates, and open rates to reading customer comments and responses, among others.
